A great dinner idea for you

Okay let's be honest here....

I pretty much have been failing at blogging.

This time I am blaming it on the busy holiday season. One of my New Year's goal is to blog more often.. I won't say how often because I don't want to fail to bad at my goal. I started making this post like before or after Thanksgiving, so I thought what they heck I might as well finish it.

If you are looking for a super delicious and not too time consuming this here is what you need to make it.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta:

First things first start by cooking your 6 slices of bacon.

After you get your bacon cooking, boil your 1 pound of penne pasta.

While both your bacon and noodles are cooking take your 2 pounds of chicken breasts and cut into small pieces.

When the bacon is done cooking remove it from the pan and save 1 tablespoon of the grease and throw out the rest of the grease. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to your bacon grease and toss in your chicken and cook it until it is no longer pink.

Once your chicken is cooked you will add your packet of ranch dressing mix, your flour and 2 cups of milk to your chicken. Stir your mixture until it is thick and bubbly.

While your mixture is thickening chop your bacon up into pieces, once the mixture is thick add half of your bacon pieces  and your one cup of cheese; stir until melted.

Combine your sauce mixture with your noodles and serve.
You can add salt and pepper to taste and top each dish with the extra bacon pieces (I just added all of mine to the sauce, so you can do whatever you prefer.)

We had a coupon to get garlic knots 50% off so I thought those would go great with the dinner and they did! Rhenn also enjoyed his vegetables and oatmeal while we downed our food.

Enjoy.

*2 tbsp all-purpose flour

You will have to let me know if you make it and if so how you end up liking it. I know we sure loved it and will forsure be making it again.
