We said goodbye to this little bed of ours. It's been good to us, but unfortunately we have out grown it. We had a crib bought before he was even born. We decided to turn it into a little project, it took a little longer than anticipated. But it's done now so that's all that really matters right? hahah
We went from this too..
THIS!!
I LOVE IT!! It may have taken a few words and some stress to get where it is but now that it is done I totally love it.
Rhenn on the other hand wasn't so sure when I first introduced him to his new bed. :) I think he like's it now.. I mean who wouldn't love having a huge bed all to yourself.

Now if any one of you reading this and have a new little one, expecting one or plan on having one in your future just listen. I am going to give you my two cents worth of advice. As a new mom I know you get a little more of that then you really want but I feel like this will be helpful. Rhenn has been sleeping in his own room since he was a week old, it was the best thing I could have done for the both of us. If you would have told me to do that before he was born or even in his first week of life I would have said no way! I will have him sleep in our room for a couple of months. His first week of life I was so terrified of everything, I wanted him as close as possible. What if he stopped breathing, what if he chokes, what if, what if, what if. Rhenn is the nosiest sleeper, so every little sound he made I was either next to his bassinet checking on him or running all the what if's through my head. He would always end up being just fine and I was worrying for no reason.
I decided that was enough of that, if I can't hear all the little noises he make's then I can't sit and worry if he was going to be okay. When Matt got home from work and saw that his bed was no longer in our room he was shocked, he knows that I worry non stop. The first night I was worried (shocker me worrying... again.... always) that I wasn't going to hear him cry for a feeding. We didn't have a baby monitor. I just listed to my mom, she said trust me you will hear him when you need to. What do you know I did! After that first night I knew I could hear him when he needed to be fed and I didn't have to sit and worry about all the other noises, from then on we have both slept great.
We now don't have to go through the whole process of teaching him that our room really isn't his room and that he was only sleeping there temporary. All he knows is his room and that's where he sleeps at night. I have been really lucky in the sleeping department with him, he sleeps like a champ. I know that isn't the case for everyone but trust me just give it a try. Let them sleep in their own room and I promise it will be so much better for you and your spouse. If I can do it any one can because I am the queen or "king" of worrying. Well that is the end of my rant I hope it can help someone because everyone deserves a good nights rest.
Here are some fun pictures to look at since I just wrote a ton and had no pictures.
Miss Payton Jane is a smart girl she knows what the good stuff is. Nutella tastes so much
better when you can eat it with your finger and get it all over your face. A little
chocolate never hurt anyone.
Oh ya know just mom entertaining herself. He think's I am pretty funny.
~Thanks for reading hope you all have a spectacular 4th of July.~
NaTasha! I just found your blog! Rhenn is so cute! And Lily is still sleeping in our room. I think I am going to try having her sleep in her room very soon. Thanks for the advice/input!
